Quotation of the Day

"There are in nature neither rewards nor punishments, there are consequences."     Robert Ingersoll

As a human species, being of reasoning minds we tend think of ourselves above all other forms of nature.  We don't accept the just because our seed blew in the wind to a southern face of the mountain where the survival is least likely.  We uproot out plant and move it to the location of most significant advantage to our survival.

But, I question, do we take implementation of "rewards" and "punishment" too seriously?  Are "natural" consequences often enough in many cases to teach the needed lesson.  Do "rewards" over feed our minds with a superficial prize and detract us from true joys of life?

Hmmmm!   Any thoughts?

Love you all,

Jacky
